Full day “Art Mash Up sessions” which are fun combination of two or more concepts into one idea using a wide range of materials that are in itself a collaborative different types of art
Weekly art adventures highlight Art Movements through the ages by exploring a diversity of materials and learning about artists from those times.
Classes will take place in the Moose Jaw Kinsmen Learning Center in the Art Gallery unless stated.

What if the Mona Lisa was a giraffe? Or Van Gogh was a fish? View famous portraits that contain animals as well as learn to mix animals in wacky and exciting ways into a variety of crafts across different art mediums!

The Mona Lisa goes to Canada, EH? Explore Canadian landscapes across the country (as well as some Italian ones) and experiment with portrait and landscape art across various art forms, including wildlife, environments, and of course reimagine the Mona Lisa if she was somewhere in Canada, hockey stick, syrup and all!

Have you ever wanted to learn how to draw comics? Have you ever wanted to create your very own super hero? Learn the comic basics, such as paneling, speech and action bubbles, anatomy, and more, in combination with Canadian Folk Art! We will be working with a wide variety of mediums just like the folk artists do! Examples of famous Canadian Folk artists are Maud Lewis, Joe Fafard, and Vic Cicansky.

Work together with your peers to build a collaborative Rube Goldberg Machine, make plastic shrink art, and much more! Examples of famous Surrealist artists are Dali, Ernst, Miro, and Frida.

Learn about Retro-Futurism, the ideas and concepts of what the future may bring but yet still firmly rooted in the past. Some examples from pop culture are The Jetsons, Star Wars, Fallout. This course will focus on world building of your own sci-fi retro-futuristic world and then translating your ideas into flipbook animation! Examples of Retro-Futurism artists are Shusei Nagaoka and Hajime Sorayama.
