Exhibition: Heritage Gallery – Indigenous gallery relaunch
Theme: Beadwork from Treaty Four
Activity: Diamond Art Project
Join MJM&AG Indigenous Curator, Sadi Rose Vaxvick, to tour the newly updated Indigenous displays in the heritage museum. The Indigenous collection holds many cultural items of beadwork…travelled southern Saskatchewan before and during colonialism, dating back to approximately 8000 years or more.
Following the tour, students will create a diamond art project inspired from the collection to take back that reflects on the history of Treaty Four. The updated renovation and curation is sponsored by the Moose Jaw Co-op.
*This program is available Monday, Tuesdays (mornings and afternoons) and Wednesday (mornings) in January and ends February 11, 2026.
