The Moose Jaw Museum & Art Gallery is pleased to announce that ParkArt 2024 will be held on July 1, 2024, in Crescent Park. The Crescent Park location for ParkArt will be adjacent to the Library/Museum facility. The day will be filled with exciting events that will bring many visitors to the City of Moose Jaw.

The Moose Jaw Museum & Art Gallery is a non-profit organization promoting heritage, art, and artists in Moose Jaw and surrounding area. ParkArt is our largest annual fundraiser and is one of the finest arts and craft markets in Saskatchewan, featuring a wide variety of high-quality, handmade works by artists and artisans from Saskatchewan and beyond.

Non-Juried

All works at ParkArt must be original and created by the applicant. All applications must be accompanied by images of the applicant’s work or it will not be considered for inclusion in ParkArt 2024.

Set Up

Saturday morning, July 1, 6:30 to 9:30 a.m.  There is no drive-in access or help for unloading but there is access from an off-street unloading area with close proximity to all booths. Participants will then need to park on the street, which will be a short distance from show. A limited number of trolleys are available for use, but participants are advised to bring their own. These trolleys will only be available until 6 p.m.

Booth Particulars

Booth size will be approximately 10' x 10', please remember you are outdoors in the Park and not inside, and do need to stay within the marked booth parameters.  Power, tables and chairs will not be provided, due to the fact that ParkArt will take place outside in Crescent Park. There will be no smoking allowed inside the area designed by the snow fence. Bathroom facilities are in close proximity in the Library/Museum building. Participants will be responsible for their own booth displays, furnishings and weather protection.

Bylaws regarding pets

The City of Moose Jaw has bylaws regarding pets in Crescent Park. Absolutely no pets are allowed in the park. Those applicants showing up for registration with pets on July 1, 2024 will be turned away and will not be reimbursed.

Children’s Activities & Concessions

Children’s activities will be conducted inside the building.  Concession will be provided on site by another community organization. ParkArt hosts will be available to answer questions and lend a helping hand.

Entry Guidelines                                                                                                                

1.            Each entrant must submit a properly completed registration form by Monday, June 3, 2024.

2.            Registration forms must be accompanied by a Registration Fee of $150.00 per booth.

3.            Works from commercial moulds or kits are not acceptable. All work must be original, created by the applicant, and accompanied by images.

4.            After the application deadline, pending confirmation of eligibility and receipt of payment, applicants will be sent a confirmation package.

5.            Cancellations and requests for refunds must be received by June 4, 2024.  Registration fees will not be refunded for cancellations after that date.

6.            ParkArt will proceed rain or shine! No refunds will be provided if participants decide not to attend due to poor weather. Participants are advised to bring protective coverings, such as plastic drop sheets, for placing over and under displays in the event of rain. Should heavy rain or winds occur, artists remain in the park at their own risk.
